yaum al-jumua 19th Dhu al-Hijjah 1428

Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem,

As salaam alaikum wa rahmaatuulahhi wa baraakaatuu,

Yesterday when I found that the Benazir had been assassinated it made me feel sad. I don’t know allot about her, but it seems that we would have stood on different sides on some issues. Yet instill she is my sister, and the way she died saddens me. Form Allah we have come and to him we shall return.

I don’t know too much about the politics in Pakistan, but I did read the article and featured Musharef and Benazir in Newsweek a few weeks ago. This will have a huge backlash on Musharef and he will have to justify for the rest of his life why he didn’t do everything in his power to protect her. As for the people in Pakistan, this will lead to more chaos, more martial law, and the government will not be able to do its function to provide and protect the weak, and regulate the strong. It seems Benazir was in it for the rights of the people this time around, and if that was the case I hope that Allah’tala excepts her as a shaheed.

I am a Muslim, and so was she, and Pakistan is a nation of Muslims, it is too bad that in all of this Islam is really taking a back seat. There will be those who call for a moderate Islam, and some will draw a negative picture illustrating radical Islam, but where is Islam (the correct understanding and not slanted).

I would suggest anyone who reads this checks out another blog on Asian affairs, this is the blog I found to be best of information and analysis of the sub continent, South Asia… http://www.chapatimystery.com/
