Yaum al-Arbiaaa 22nd Muharram 1429
Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem,
As salaam alaikum wa rahmaatuulahhi wa baraakaatuu,
McCain’s win last night was huge for him. It put him in the delegate lead and knocked the repub most like him (Giuliani) out of the race. It will be interesting if he will be able to hold on through super tues… it wouldn’t surprise me to see Huck become a player again either, it wouldn’t surprise me to see McCain or Romney sow things up either.
Hill got a little push last night in her “win”. It will be interesting to see how the media plays it out. It will also be interesting if Hill continues to call for the reinstatement of the delegates from FL and MI breaking her pack with the rest of the candidates and the DNC before the election. If she gets the nomination she should make Rick Flair her vice president, cause she is the dirtiest player in the game… Whoooooo!

Yaum al-Ahad 19th Muharram 1429
Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem,
As salaam alaikum wa rahmaatuulahhi wa baraakaatuu,
Obama’s big win in SC yesterday gave him a nice lead in the race for delegates, and it also gave him some momentum going into Super Tuesday. I don’t think anyone saw Hillary being down 28 percentage points. Maybe Iceberg Edwards will get out of the race and will no longer split, or siphon the anti Hillary vote. Obama picked up 25 delegates and that gave him a 15 Delegate lead. We will see if this shift is permanent, but I think that if Edwards drops out Obama will take Super Tuesday.
On the Repub side, McCain is the media darling, but Romney has put himself in a nice position. If Romney can hold through super Tuesday he will probably be the repub’s man. Huckabee is still in this, but he needs to win again. Both Florida and Maine will be huge as they will set the stage for super Tuesday. I was surprised that Fred Thompson pulled out, I thought that he would do better later on and might be able to shake things up and make a better case for him to be vice president. Rudy played himself, no one outside of Florida even knows he is in the race, and if he does win Florida, he will need to carry some more states in Super Tuesday.
Super Tuesday maybe Romneys for the taking even if he doesn’t win in any of the states, if they continue to split to delgates up he just has to keep the lead.
I don’t know which way the repubs will go. I feel that Romney is going to be their canidate.
I am also getting the feeling that that Huckabee will drop out and run as a 3rd party candidate, splitting the repub vote, and putting Obama in the white house.

Yaum al-Ahad 12th Muharram 1429
Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem,
As salaam alaikum wa rahmaatuulahhi wa baraakaatuu,
Last night I turned on the news to check who won in the two republican primaries and in Nevada for the Dems. I had to sit through about 10 minutes of Packer stories and the weather… If the Packers win today I will not hear of anything, Al humduulilah for Internet access.
Obama actually won last night. He came out with one more delegate then Hillary. I am not sure how that happened since Hillary won the popular vote, but who said that this country is truly democratic? Obama has a two delegate lead over Hillary and Iceberg is why back in the third. South Carolina is up next, if Obama can win SC then he will have momentum, if he doesn’t then Hillary pulled a comeback, but she won’t be the next president.
Romney has built a 21 delegate lead over Huckabee who has fizzled out. Maybe Huckabee will join Chuck Norris on some of is info-mericals because he took a big blow last night (bigger then Romney’s loss in IA). McCain is behind Huckabee, and Rudy finally surfaced with one Delegate. I mention Rudy because he may come up big in the Repubs next stop, Florida, and he can easily be in second place, and I don’t think Romney is going to be able to hold on.
Finally Ron Paul has done well, almost Perot like. He may come out as a 3rd party candidate. Also, it wouldn’t surprise me to see Bloomberg enter the race cause it is up for grabs, just ask Obama. It may come down to Feb 5th or even the conventions were delegates may actually switch sides and that is not something that we have seen in modern politics.

Yaum al-Jumua 10th Muharram 1429
Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem,
As salaam alaikum wa rahmaatuulahhi wa baraakaatuu,
Welcome to Milwaukee where we are Packers all day, all night. I watched the morning news this morning, for the first time it wasn’t wall to wall Packers coverage. I am kind of hoping that the Packers loose on Sunday because I don’t think I can stomach two weeks of this fake Packers glory by a bunch of band wagon losers who probably don’t even know who Reggie White is. The interesting thing will be if the Packers can repeat their success next year, or are they this year’s Saints, a team that happens to play the right team on the right week for the whole season. Next year they may have a chance to win a Super Bowl and it will prove that this season was not a fluke.
On to the Election everyone is surprised that this is a tight race, but I don’t understand why. When you look at a blow by blow by the number of delegates won by each candidate in each state I don’t know why it was a surprise other then the media trying to hype up Huckabee and Obama (which is a sure sign that one of them will be the next president).
Finally, I know I won’t see any of the celebrations of Ashurra on the news here in Milwaukee, unless the Packers have some Shia fans that will mourn al-Hussian at Lambeau Field.

Yaum al-Arbiaaa 31th Dhu al-Hijjah 1428
Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem,
As salaam alaikum wa rahmaatuulahhi wa baraakaatuu,
Well if you believe the polls, Hillary’s crying game won over NH women voters. It is not really a loss for Obama, he got the same number of delegates, but it stops his momentum and gives new life to Hllary’s campaign. Obama is still leading with one delegate if you look at the results in Iowa, Hillary did do as bad as the press would lead you to believe. I think it would have taken a 3rd place finish last night to knock Hillary out and I knew that wasn’t going to happen. I though John Edwards had the most game, I guess so did everyone else. It is a two person race, cause Edwards is gasping his last, he needs something big, and even then that probally wont be enough, and I don’t think pimpin’ Edwards will be nominated vice president.
Republicans, it was a good night for Huckabee and McCain. Huckabee picked up one delegate, and Mitt was not able to close the gap, and McCain has new life in his campaign. Both Mitt and McCain need a strong showing in super Tuesday, and a collapse for Huckabee, otherwise Huckabee will be the next president.
Where is Rudy? Oh, he is over there conceding before a projection was ever made. Rudy and Fred should get on a bus and head out of town, but they wont until after 02/05/08.

Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem,
As salaam alaikum wa rahmaatuulahhi wa baraakaatuu,
Iowa has spoken and it seems they want change. I am surprised that not only Obama came out on top, but he did so clearly. Edwards is still in this thing too, and Clinton, what a bruise to her ego. I think the negative campaigning and the sleaziness has finally caught up with her. It will be interesting if the media decides to freeze her out like Giuliani. It has not bee a good month for Bill and Hillary. If she doesn’t recover in New Hampshire she may be done. Fred Thompson had a good night, he still is in it a little bit, beating out McCain. McCain will be stronger in New Hampshire, but the race will be Huckabee’s to loose. Romney is done. He had a huge hurdle to climb because of his beliefs, but the negative campaigning really hurt him. Negative campaigning usually makes the candidate look power hungry, and that is just was Mitt and Hillary are and the voters in Iowa saw that. If Mitt and Hillary don’t comeback in New Hampshire they will both be in trouble. Especially for Hillary if John Edwards gains ground. Where is Rudy? Even Ron Paul did better then him. I will just call him humpty dumpty..
This is truly the only time where the public gets feedback on a President, before the circus of a national election starts. To me, Iowa choosing Huck and Obama is a sign that America sees that it is getting screwed up and is looking for change. But, electing a Washington outsider is just a small step. Remember that Bush was an outsider too.

Yaum al-Khamis 25th Dhu al-Hijjah 1428
Bismillah ar Rahmaan ar Raheem,
As salaam alaikum wa rahmaatuulahhi wa baraakaatuu,
Tonight is the night of the Iowa Caucus. At the beginning of this race I thought that Giuliani looked the most presidential but now he is off the radar. Last night on ABC they only profiled the current big six. My guess is that since there are only 3 real democrat candidates they just balanced it off with 3 republicans, but the republican nomination is a mixed can of worms. Unfortunately, until John Edwards can prove otherwise, Hillary is the lead democrat. With the Republicans I will still go with Giuliani, but I am leaning towards Huckabee, because he does appear Clinton-esque. After the smoke of the Caucus fades tonight things may look a little clearer, but there will be allot of fog left.
As for the candidate I support, or who I think the Muslims should support… that is bigger then a post. Until I am able to write it, find my version of Presidential Products, and ask Weird Al to do an El DeBarge parody, “Where’s Rudy”…lol, that could be on the Halaal Mix Tape vol. 2.
